How are you locking your Experian Credit File?
« on: January 04, 2020, 07:13:44 PM »
Hey Guys,

When Experian had their breach a few years ago, I like many others, were given an "ID notify" account where I could lock my credit file in place of a freeze.  My subscription has ended with them and now they have unlocked my credit file.  I'm wondering if there's a way to lock/unlock my file with ease without signing up for their "Creditworks" program which has a cost of $24.99 a month after a $4.99 first month fee.

Thanks

You can freeze or temporarily thaw all 3 credit agencies for free these days. No need to pay any fees, especially since the 'protection' isn't as good as a freeze.

Don't you mean Equifax?

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
