I work full time and my husband is out of town most of the week (every week) for work and is home weekends. Our son has expressed an interest in being homeschooled and I would love to do so since I can take him to work with me and teach him while I am working.
I haven't had a lot of time to research this but are there any curriculum/programs that we could follow that are free or very close to it? I teach him during the summer while he is out of school just by using worksheets that I found online, online math games and a free foreign language course that he loves online. In addition, I use anything else in daily life or anything that I can think of to teach him.

What do you do that allows your undivided attention to a child all day? :)

I have to balance between work and my son. I work in the family business in my fathers house so its not like we are in a store or anything. My son can ride bikes and play outside in the backyard or stay inside and play with legos, toys or do schoolwork. Its not a bad setup really. He knows when mommy is working that he should go and entertain himself. If he needs something I can stop working and help him with whatever he needs. Its cheaper than daycare and frankly I wouldn't want to put him in daycare anyway since I can spend time with him all of the time.

What grade is he in? Kindergarten is a whole different ball game than high school.

Some states have an online curriculum if you want to go that way. It might be a little more hands off which would be easier if you have to work.
