I've used Quicken WillMaker Plus software from Nolo Press.
It's somewhat boilerplate, but it was good enough for me.

I second Nolo as a good start, better than nothing!

Does it make a difference if I buy the Quicken Will Maker Plus software new or used?  I'm assuming I can use the software to create a will for both my wife?

Wills are boilerplate text, and you insert your specific numbers, executors, beneficiaries, etc.
Older versions of WillMaker should be just as useful as the current version.  eBay, CraigsList, Half-Price Books, etc could be good sources to find it.
