Any recommendations or experiences, good or bad?
We are considering Samaritan Ministries or Medi-Share. Family of 6.

Frozen Assets,
Not sure if you have already made a decision, or not. I have played around in my mind for a couple of years about this. I'm a nurse and lets just say I'm disillusioned by the medical field. Been in it way too long. Anyway, this year I took the safe option and did my hospital insurance. (It hadn't gone up too much). I listen to a guy on my morning commute: Dan Celia "Financial Issues with Dan Celia". He and his wife (who is a nurse) decided to go with Samaritan Ministries, because Dan was allowed to "fully vet" them, gave them a tour of their headquarters, and answered all their questions.
If my insurance does become unreasonable, I will probably do the same. I figure at least I would be giving my money to a good cause, VS giving it to the insurance company profits....
Last time I checked it would run about $400/month to cover myself, spouse and 2 kids...
Hope this helps!

It's not insurance, if something bad were to happen to you and if they can't get enough money to pay for your treatment, you may have to go bankrupt or suffer/die. To me, it's not worth it to lose everything I've accumulated just to save a few bucks.
