Hamburger is on sale in my area for 1.69, a very good price for the area. I have no deep freeze and normally I cook with chicken. What do I make besides chili?

Burgers, meatballs, meatloaf (can be made in a cupcake tin as meatballs), shepherd's pie, tacos, and enchiladas are a few that come to mind.

hamburgers work pretty well smoke em if you have a smoker. taco meat works pretty well. meat balls ... lots of things to do with hamburger. salisbury steaks. etc.

Hamburgers, tacos, bolognese meat sauce, meatballs, meatloaf, shepherd's pie.

I will add that pan fried taco meat works very well with frozen ground beef. You don't have to bother defrosting the meat, just keep flipping the block over and scraping off the browned meat as it cooks. Cover with a good seasoning and you'll never know it was ever frozen.

If you make meatloaf (and maybe for meatballs as well), mix in some quick/instant oats to bulk it up cheaply. You don't notice them in the meat once it's cooked. My mother's recipe uses 3/4 cup oats for every 2.5 lbs beef.

I'd think about doing some jerky, there are some pretty good recipes online for ground beef jerky, and that way you can store those savings for later without the fridge space

Wouldn't that be closer to like, pemmican, than jerky?
