I'm in the Atlanta area and I don't know if it's a great investment.
I think it's a good buy for a young single person or younger couple with small children. It's not the nicest or best part of Atlanta by any means, but it's close enough that you can enjoy being downtown regularly without the expense of driving there.
I wouldn't buy the property with hopes to sell it for a massive profit, but for $150k it's a good location, size, etc. Could make a decent rental for college kids too.
Just my two cents as a person that lives in Atlanta.
