We're in the market for a twin mattress for our four-year-old and I don't think we're up for springing for the $350 for a Tuft & Needle. (Didn't they used to make thinner, cheaper ones, too?)
The last twin we bought (currently in use by Little Brother) was about $165--it was a relatively high-end floor model being sold without the box spring at a big mattress store. Is that the way to go again, or are there other avenues to consider? I do want something that will last a while, but not at outrageous expense if possible.
