good website for Craigslist alerts?
« on: May 23, 2013, 03:31:37 PM »
Does anyone have a good system for setting up automatic alerts for new craigslist posts?  I find it extremely frustrating to constantly go and manually search for the things I'm interested in.  I'd love to get an email when something pops up.

I'm also looking for a way to search the non-local craigslist boards. How can I search within a specific state or the whole country instead of just the local city?

You can add different pages to your RSS feed. It won't send a notification necessarily but you can follow multiple subjects in different areas of the country fairly easily.

+1 to this.  The CL android app has saved me more money than anything else I've used my phone for, by enabling me to pounce on good deals as soon as they post.

Google alerts.  Use 'site:ny.craigslist.com' (if you happen to be in new york) and then whatever you're searching for.  Google sends you an email whenever a result shows up.
