My DH and I are trying to narrow options for relocating to Denver and surrounds in about five years. We've visited quite a bit and will visit more and opt for a long term stay before we make a final decision.
We've stayed in Fort Collins and really liked it. In fact, I can think of little I didn't like about it, except for the fact that it's an hour from the airport and you can't hop on public transport to take in what Denver has to offer. I like the CSU connection, the amenities, the cohesive community feel, and the weather.
We also want to find out about Golden. A friend of ours who grew up in suburban Denver has spoken highly of it, so we're going to check it out a bit this fall. It has the public transport/access to Denver that FC does not, but I'm wondering if there's a strong community feel or if it empties out so much during the day that it feels like a shell of a place.
I've posted several Colorado questions on here but am finding the feedback very helpful in shaping our search and running numbers. Thanks.
