Glasses - lens Replacement
« on: March 03, 2024, 01:47:15 PM »
Looks like the lenses on my old glasses are going to fall apart soon due to little hairline cracks over the years.
Its frameless, an old Oakley frame.

Any suggestion as to where I can get the lens replaced cheap?

Thanks

If you have a copy of your prescription you can order a new pair cheap from Zenni or one of the similar sites. I got prescription sunglasses for about $30 and they are fine, although I don't have a strong or unusual prescription.

Unless you really like the frame I would just order a new pair online. You'll probably need (and should get) an updated prescription, especially if it's been long enough to develop cracks.

I've had good luck with eyebuydirect.com. Zenni is somewhat cheaper, and I should probably try them, but I haven't

I got my prescription glasses on Clearly. It was much cheaper than fancy glasses but they still look good. In addition to following my perscription, I had them take a couple of height measurements in the store. The glasses fit me perfectly now.

Replacing lenses sounds like a much more expensive solution..

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I am done trying to raise a dead horse.

Its not that I even like wearing glasses anyway.
All of you are right, I'm gonna forget these frames ever existed.

Thank you!
