This thread is from 2018. It appears that OP has married the GF, as his latest posts mention his wife in 2019.

Any comments regarding whether or not to break up with his GF or what they should do regarding her being sloppy/overweight or the money issue.... it is to be OP got all that worked out and they're happy now considering it's harder to untangle a marriage than it is to just break up.

As others have pointed out, this is a relationship issue, not really a money issue.

Your answer is also going to depend on your attitude towards marriage.

For me, marriage is a partnership. When done right, you're both better for it. But, you have to agree in the DIRECTION that you're trying to go to be good partners, and for me that means you have to agree on family, religion, and money. You have to have the same vision for what your life together is going to look like.

You're picking at GFs faults. All of them are surmountable, for the right person. This is the key question - is she the right person?

Money is money. There will always be enough. A life partner is a rare and precious thing.
