You're all over the place in your question...north of Atlanta is pretty general.  I lived there for eight years, it's actually tougher to get east/west than north-south.

You have a college degree and we're in the best employment market in our lifetime, work will not be difficult to find.

If its near Marietta, look at an analyst role at WellStar, the big not for profit health system

Plenty of people get jobs in cities they don't live in. First off - apply, apply apply. I would try to get out of your current job ASAP. No need to waste additional time there. You can explain the moving/location situation in interviews (whether that's over the phone, Skype, whatever). Jobs that want you will be pretty flexible, I have found. Also a good indicator of the type of company they are :)

Obviously a good question to ask during an interview is about the work/life balance since that is an issue w/ your current job. Good luck!
