Do you have a Fidelity HSA?
« on: November 17, 2016, 01:55:36 PM »
My company is moving from Health Equity to Fidelity for their HSA administration.  They are transferring funds over as well, as long as you agree.  My HSA is no longer linked to my employer as my DH works for the same company and we use insurance (and HSA deductions) through his paycheck.  So I have a choice to stay with Health Equity with my balance or transfer to Fidelity.  Fidelity only does HSAs for large companies so I can't get any information about their investment choices but I love my work 401K through Fidelity (cheap index funds) so I am tempted to move over even if I have to pay a $12 quarterly fee.. it might be worth it.  Does anyone currently have a Fidelity HSA that could tell me about it and whether it might be worth it?  (Also looking into trying to make small deductions to my HSA through my paycheck while the bulk goes to DH's HSA to try to link my account back to my company but its not something that is easy since "I" am not enrolled directly into a HDHP.. since I am the "spouse" and deny my "employee" coverage).  Would appreciate any info!

I do, but mine is provided through my employer and there are no fees associated with it.  There are no restrictions on what you can invest it.  If you use the HSA funds to pay for medical expenses, Fidelity issues a debit card that makes it very easy to pay.  No issues whatsoever with the account and Fidelity client service is top notch.

I may work for the same company as you as this is exactly what's happening to me.

The information that investing is open is great to know. My investment choices through health equity are very limited and high expense while being managed (and doing worse than my index funds).

Dcozaf999, our parent company is huge so I wouldn't be surprised if we had the same parent company!
