follow up to sprint vs republic
« on: August 28, 2014, 08:11:22 AM »
We went with Tmobile.  Already had all Tmobile phones.  so the total cost per month is 20 bucks a person plus tax and you get 2.5gb of data til jan 2016.  at which point i'm sure we'll re-evaluate and find a new deal.  or switch along the way.  since there is no contract...

few nice things
international data and text is no extra cost
texting international is included - which is nice b/c my wife's dad lives in indonesia
music streaming doesnt count against data.

Hi boarder42,

does that $20 plan include voice? Do you have an URL of that plan? Do you know how much you pay int taxes and fees?

Reason I ask is that we left T-mo a while ago and switched to RedPocket for $29.99 incl tax+fees for unlimited voice, SMS, 500MB data, plus $2 credit toward international calls. A big plus for us - that's 200 free min to western Europe per month, unused intl. mins even roll over.
When we left that was a steal compared to T-mo pricing. That may have changed.
Thanks!

Its unlimited talk text and 2.5gb of data. You need 6 people to get it for 20 bucks a month. It doesn't include international minutes bit includes international text. You can get international call for 10 bucks more i think.
