My girlfriend said she wants to learn some money skills and asked me if she should read MMM. My response was an enthusiastic "Oh yeah!" So I am putting together a list of MMM articles I think she would like. She is still in school, so she is not that interested in investing but is very interested in trimming costs and building money-making skills.
So what are some good websites (in addition to MMM) for a young, college lady interested in mustachianism? I have recommended Miss Growing Green; I haven't read it much but thought a female perspective would be a good addition.

I'm a lady mustachian and I read Get Rich Slowly. It is not as hardcore as MMM, but each day there is a new post from a pool of writers and several of them are female. Several of the commenters are MMM fans as well.

Suze Orman has some free podcasts on her website. She has a blog, too. There's a blog called Down To Earth by Rhonda Hetzel that has a lot of tips on cutting expenses and saving money. She's more into the home.

Hi there,
I am a new Mustachian so take my advice with a grain of salt. :) But I'm also a former-anti-mustachian-pro-consumerist. What has helped me most to "see the light" is actually reading simplicity & minimalist blogs and books. Miss Minimalist, A Minimalist Woman, Courtney Carver, Leo Babauta. All are great IMO & I think have a lot of MMM-ish principles.

Man vs. Debt started out as a blog by a man named Baker, but is now most posts are written by a woman named Joan. It's a fantastic blog either way. Be sure to check out Baker's TED talk while you're there.

Great list, thanks! Love The Minimalist Woman already.

Hey, thanks for the recommendations everyone!

My original guru Gail Vaz-Oxlade got me interested in budgeting and actually thinking about my money and where it was going. I've since graduating to the MMM level but it was a fantastic start.

I love how the Cdns are mentioning Gail! She was my original guru too. I really like her shows. Even though they are made in Canada, I am sure an American audience can relate to them.

www.JLCollinsNH.com has several blog posts written in the format of a "letter to his daughter" that would be great for teaching her about investing.

Frugalstudents.blogspot.com is a blog for students....

Ah yes. I love his site. Didn't think to mention it to her as it is mainly about investing, but I think you make a good point. Looking back I actually read a lot of sites like this before I had any money to invest. Thanks!

A couple of my most favorite blogs are written by fellow female MMM'ers.
