Fidelity Index Funds vs. Vanguard ??
« on: November 21, 2019, 12:12:37 PM »
I am getting ready to retire and am planning to move nest egg accounts into index funds.

I am liking what I have researched about Vanguard index funds.   My thought is to keep it simple with either a 3 fund approach (VTSAX,VTIAX,VBTLX) or maybe 4-fund approach (VTSAX,VTIAX,VBTLX,VTABX).  Think Bogleheads!
Planned allocation will be 60/40.

However, in some ways I prefer working with Fidelity.  I like web tools and have had an account with them in the past.  That plus, I can drive to a Fidelity branch and meet with someone if need be.  I go back and forth between investing in Vanguard or use Fidelity and their index funds.  I don't know that much yet about the Fido index fund offerings.

My question is, what index funds at Fidelity would be comparable to the VG funds … VTSAX,VTIAX,VBTLX,VTABX ??  Which would you recommend?

I am looking for low ER, no fees, and will be mostly hands off.

Thx

EvenSteven
