Fidelity AMEX question
« on: April 24, 2014, 09:52:19 AM »
The 2% cash back on all spending on the card deposited into Fidelity account is great.  Is there any reason to not put it into a Roth IRA (or rather is there any reason to put it in another type of account, like a Traditional IRA) since the Roth is after-tax?  Is this too obvious?

1. Your personal situation is such that a traditional IRA make more sense and you don't have a Roth.

2. Fidelity only accepts whole dollar contributions from other accounts, but you can put non whole dollar amounts in with the cash back.  I'm 17 cents short of $5,500 this year and figured I would save someone that mistake ;-)
