Title: FICA on unemployement insurance
Post by: Gin1984 on December 26, 2016, 05:31:08 PM
My husband just lost his job and has applied for unemployment through our state (NY).  The state has responded by saying he will get it and how much he will get but no information on taxes.  I know it is considered part of gross income and taxable but not sure if FICA should be paid from it.  Anyone know?

Not subject to FICA.
