Salvage/Discount Grocery Stores?

I thought I saw this recently on reddit or a post here but for the life of me can't find it. Does anyone have any good recommendations on how to find discount or salvage grocery stores that sell food that has damaged packaging, maybe near its sell by date or fruit that does not look perfect? I would be looking in both the LA and Dallas area

I forget the name of the store, but in LA there's one on the corner of Arlington and Venice, and a sister site in DTLA. I'll try to come back here when I remember the name. Maybe World Harvest?
