Title: Feds, does employeeexpress.gov have HSA pre-tax deduction?
Post by: unflinching on April 09, 2013, 11:17:37 AM
I'm switching to a new agency that uses https://www.employeeexpress.gov/.

I currently use DFAS (MyPay) which has an option for HSA pretax (and SS/Medicare) HSA payroll deductions.

Any feds using Employee Express know if that system also has this option?

Yep. I think I set mine up for about $3k and all $3k became available January 1 of the year I started the HSA, even though it had not yet been taken, pre-tax, out of my paychecks yet. Not a bad deal at all

Any unused portion would have been gone forever at the end of the year FYI.

That sounds like an FSA not HSA.

It may have been an FSA. I'm too lazy to look up which one I had, but I do know both options are available.
