Easy way to transfer contacts from IOS to Android?
« on: October 04, 2019, 02:23:41 PM »
DW is leaving Apple and joining myself and others on team Android. I'm looking for the most straight forward way to transfer contacts. This needs to be fairly painless or she may decide to get a new IPhone ;-).

I googled it and found a couple different ways but wondering what method worked the best for you.

Thanks

Matt

Samsung SmartSwitch app does a great job of transferring data from various phone types.  This may only be available for Samsung devices though.

Excellent! She's actually looking at a Samsung so this is very good to know. Thanks

As detailed in this article : https://www.androidauthority.com/how-to-transfer-contacts-from-iphone-to-android-186636/

The easiest way is to have you wife add her Google account to her iPhone (or create one if she doesn't have one yet) and allow the Google account to sync the phone's contacts (and any other categories it can) to the account.

When your wife logs into her Google profile on her new phone, the contacts should be ready to go.

For contacts only, @chemistk 's method is probably better than the app I mentioned.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
