Hi @SimpleCycle and thank you for asking! We're home safely... my husband struggled o  the flight but he's doing OK now. We're both exhausted, so while I've started a reply to this thread, I haven't managed to finish answering everyone's points, though there there is a bit of a ramble on my journal. Thank you for your concern... I will post a better summary soon in case it's useful to anyone.

Glad to hear all is OK.

I'll be interested in reading your learnings from the whole experience in due course. This would be useful so that someone in the future might be able to avoid some pitfalls..

Wow!  I’m just seeing this thread for the first time. I’m so glad your husband is doing better and that you made it home safely.  You did an impressive job remaining calm and factual in your communications during an incredibly stressful time.  I’m really so impressed by you!
