A lot of my friends are fairly active with gym stuff & sports and I've found that the married ones, both male and female invested in these cool silicone/rubber rings in place of traditional wedding bands. I fancy the idea and it's cheaper and much more practical than tattooing one on your ring finger. :p Just google 'Silicone Wedding Ring' and some nifty stuff comes up around $30. Albeit a traditional ring is nicer and more prudent for certain circumstances, these suckers are way more practical and comfy!

Can I recommend looking into stones other than diamonds (fake or real)? It's personal preference but I've never been much into diamonds, so my husband and I landed on a custom sapphire ring. I ended up with a ring that's much more "me" for a fraction of the cost of a similar diamond ring.

Also, we found our ring maker on Etsy...like most things, we found a much bigger selection and better prices online. Here's a link to our vendor, just an example of what's out there.

Antique/pre-owned can be good for the budget, too.
