ELFcu new fee on HSA account???
« on: May 30, 2014, 12:46:33 PM »
I just switched banks to ELF Credit Union because they had better interest and a fee free HSA account that I could invest with vangard/TD Ameritrade funds or other. I JUST got a letter from them saying that they are charging as of July a 3$/month fee if you have less than $2500 in the account. I am kind of peeved, to say the least. Anyone else get this?

Yeah on top of the new $24 wire fee its a real bummer. Im still sticking with them. IMHO its still the best deal out there. I only transfer in once a year so the wire fee isnt so bad. Plus at least they pay 1% on the $2500.

Yeah I got that letter now I am contemplating whether it makes sense just to pay the fee $36 per yr to get return on 2500 of say 6% of $150

I called them up  and they are not waving and don't care. I had not heard of the new $24 wire fee. Is that to transfer out or in? Icing on the cake.

It is not very honest of them since the rates posted online still reflect to old rates.
