I have a corded electric, works fine, 200$ from Lowes. Depending on the yard you can have trouble getting a good flow with the cord following behind, but mine is fine. I choose to go all electric for yard tools, this gives zero engine maintenance or fuel hassles. Also with gas you may need to winterize it and drain fuel etc. My electric cuts as well as any gas push mower.
this is what I have: search lowes "Kobalt 13-Amp 21-in Deck Width Corded Electric Push Lawn Mower with Mulching Capability"
also make sure the extension cords you get are rated for the mowers amps.
