She gleefully points out that she did not bother to sand or prime the cabinets. She just slapped on the purloined paint. Way to go Apartment Therapy! I hope she's including the forfeited deposit in the cost of her reno. Yes, it is an improvement, but that kind of shoddy work is all for show. And where the hell is the refrigerator?

Daleth, that is a great sink & it looks very easy to instal.

The only tip I would insist on is a bit of counter space on either side of the stove.

I completely agree. Decent counterspace on both sides of the stove is really integral to having an efficient kitchen, and having a sink at the other end of one of those bits of counter not only makes it more efficient but also safer. By doing all your prep and cleanup right there and never carrying hot water or hot pans across the kitchen, you avoid the risk of tripping/spilling on kids, dogs etc.
