Where can you get car keys duplicate without programming? What happen to the $5 car keys duplicate?

Depends on the vehicle and how many keys you already have. On some of the Fords you can self program if you have at least two keys.

A hardware store can cut a regular non electronic key. With a past car this was adequate to unlock the door but not start the car (which required an electronic key). If you mean that programmable electronic key/fob thing some hardware stores can do them. The last time I needed one it was about $80 (the dealership wanted $300).
