Do you have a passive income (royalties, etc)?
« on: February 15, 2017, 10:17:58 PM »
I make about $200 hundred dollars a month from selling ebooks on Amazon, and about $50 a month from a self paced class (videos), and $30 a month from affiliate ads on my blog. but I wondered what other kinds of passive income I can add (where I don't have to work hourly)? My goal is just to make enough to cover my health insurance ($750 a month).

Good for you! Have you heard of smartpassiveincome.com? Lots of good info there. I have quite a few articles on hubpages.com that make me the odd $50 every so often - you could use it as another arm to the books you're selling but I imagine the more direct sales approaches you are already using are a better return on time.

I have oil and gas royalties I inherited from my great grandfather that pay 10,000 to 15,000 per year depending on energy prices.

I also own a tiny percentage of a locally owned company that last year generated 34,000 in passive income after tax to me.  I don't do any work for this company and have no say how its run.  This income is entirely passive.  My dad knows the owners and we both made a small investment at at the startup several years ago and it has really paid off year after year.

I guess its not really helpful.  Both of these were almost pure luck. :/

This is a goal of mine! I'd like to have music, book and course royalties in the future.
