The short, we live in Dallas and have family in Chicago. My mother in law is a flight attendant and has free "buddy passes" on Spirit Airlines. Only catch is that we would need to fly standby on any available flights so there would need to be free room on the planes.
Are we crazy to try to fly standby from DFW to ORD on December 18th and fly back December 22nd from ORD to DFW?
Update: just going to use Southwest points.
