I have a discord account, which I assume a lot of people have these days. I mostly use it to play online games with some friends of mine on occasion (I'm not a huge gamer though, so think every couple months or so, not daily).
I was thinking it would be nice to find a discord server that caters to more intellectual conversation, with people who are mature and emotionally supportive of one another. It doesn't have to focus on a certain subject - I'm mostly just looking for a server that caters to more educated, intelligent individuals, who are emotionally mature and supportive of one another.
The things that I enjoy about these forums isn't actually the financial topics - it's the sorts of people that the idea of early retirement tends to attract. People who are intelligent, willing to go against the grain of society, and supportive..
I joined a couple of discord servers that I thought would be promising.
The first one was a psychology discord server focused on emotional support....but after I joined I found tons of long rants filled with cursing and a lot of members that were angry with each other describing how they would like to hurt each other. I can't even repost what I read there because I would probably get banned from these forums for doing so. Needless to say I posted nothing and left quickly.
The second one is an Andrew Huberman discord server, which seemed promising at first but the server is a dead server...it seems like it was abandoned a long time ago, so I left.
Does anyone here have any recommendations for a discord server that caters to intelligent, educated, emotionally supportive people?
The actual topic or focus doesn't matter much, it's more about the kinds of people that the topic tends to attract.
