Dependent Care FSA and uncertanty about SAHM?

Hey guys,

I was wondering if it's recommended or wise to contribute even a little to the Dependent Care FSA with a newborn in our hands. We were planning to go to SAHM for my wife but now she's kinda having second thoughts about that. Either way, do you guys think it's a good idea to contribute to a dependent care FSA? Or should we only do it if we definitely know we're going to use daycare etc?

Money contributed to an FSA is "use it or lose it." In my opinion, it only makes sense if you know for sure you're going to use the money.

When I was doing FSA, the rule was use it the same year you contribute or lose.  I think that is still the rule.
