*note, in Canada

Looking for recommendations on credit cards with good rewards / current sign up bonuses, other than Chase.

There was no sign up bonus, but I just switched over to the no-fee Tangerine M/C. 2% cash back on two spending categories (three categories if you have the cash back deposited to your Tangerine account) and 1% on everything else. I think that's pretty decent for a no fee card. Bonus for the first three months is 4% back on the chosen 2% categories. You can also change your categories if desired (once per billing cycle I think?). If I can find a bonus referral link I will edit/add it to this.

I know you said other than chase, but if you are doing any transactions in the US or in US funds automatically saving the 3% Foreign transaction fee is a big win. Both the Marriot and Amazon.ca visas are chase though. Other then I think a rogers something or other card, all the other cards in Canada have the fee. The Marriot Visa has been working well for me.

President's choice MC is pretty good for grocery rewards and no fee.

If you are looking for cards and sign up bonus, go through great Canadian rebates and the like to see what their credit card offers are. Ususally they offer a bonus of 30-100 bucks depending on the card.

It's just easier to link you to the definitive guide for Canada on another forum

Just look at the first post since it is updated in real time

Right now there are 5 or 6 i would go for if applying from nothing.

$40 back if approved for Tangerine M/C. Darn, was not aware of this site before today!

Foreign currency conversion fee is 1.5%, which I think is half of most cards...
