Crashplan for home use being discontinued - alternatives? (Backup software)

I received an email that Crashplan for home users was being discontinued.  I have about 6 months to find a new service.  I'm not crazy about the two that they recommended - Crashplan for small business or Carbonite.

Can anyone recommend a good, inexpensive service?

I have been looking at http://www.rsync.net/.  I like that this all they do and have been doing it for many years.  Pricing is not bad (cheaper than previous pricing w/ Crashplan).

Kasiki, please provide more details about your use of offsite storage / backup.

How many computers? Which operating systems!

How much data are you backing up / archiving?

Is any of the data medical (HIPPA) or require some level of high security certification or compliance?

Did you use any of the enhanced features of Crashplan, or did you only use the service for offsite backup?

In the event that you lose all of your data, do you want the backup provider to ship a HDD with your backup data? (Downloading 500GB can be a long wait!)

2 - 1 laptop, 1 desktop; both Windows

No, just personal data.

No, just standard offsite backup.

That might be a nice option.  I restored at least one PC from the online data.  It worked pretty well - did take a few days but that is fine.

Google Drive now supports backup. You would need to upgrade to the 100GB storage plan for $20/year.

If you subscribe to Microsoft Office, there are multiple utilities available to use the included 1TB of OneDrive space as backup storage.

Personally, I use iDrive for my personal and business data. I can set my own source encryption key. Even if some steals the data, all they will have is gibberish.
