Convertible car seat for a Mazda3 HB
« on: May 22, 2016, 02:34:21 PM »
I have a Mazda3 hatchback and I am looking for a convertible car seat that will fit comfortably in the backseat rear facing (any of the 3 seats). My husband is 5'10" and I am 5'6" so we aren't super tall but don't want to be up against the front dash. Any suggestions?

My trouble has been finding one that can be rear facing for an extended time without being so big that it's hitting the front seat. I've tried the Dionos (seem too tall and need the angle adjuster), the Chicco Nextfit seems so big and I've heard a lot about Maxi Cosi Pria 70 and Graco Size4Me 65. Thoughts?

Here is a 3 across guide and here is a leg room guide that might help. The Maxi seems to be a lot better for leg room.

We have a Subaru Impreza and are both very tall. We asked this question awhile back and were recommended the Combi Coccoro. It won't last as long as the Maxi, but we figure by the time our first child outgrows it, the second child (hopefully) will go in the Combi and we'll buy a cheaper booster for the older child.

Parents gifted it to us, but you can get it for a good discount on jet.com and I think they are running a 15% off promo for new jet.com customers too.

We haven't installed it so I can't give you firsthand feedback but I read a lot of good reviews online saying it's the best for legroom.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
