+1 to what druth said.

I never thought I was "good" at reading comprehension, but I'm a really fast reader. Well on a timed test the ability to quickly read, look up, reread? Turns out to be really useful and my ACT score in reading was quite higher than I thought it would be.

yeah i'm the opposite... reading kept me from getting a 34 or higher overall b/c i cant read fast.  the other 3 sections were simple.

I tell slow readers to not read the passage at all and just find the references from the questions.  Not that that helps you at this point, but it might help somebody else reading this thread.

If you had more time to prepare, I'd suggest having her read as much 19th-century literature and nonfiction as she could stand.

I never took those stupid tests.
Heck i don't even have a HS or GED.... i have  6 years worth of college credits without a degree (got board and learned almost nothing so kept changing classes trying to find something fun that i couldn't learn for free online)

Depending on the line of work, entry level pay may be higher with degrees, and higher test scores, but having experience trumps all else!

My base pay is 42k/yr, but after stock options and bonus around 65k, and after OT and DT, somewhere between 75-100k/yr.
Started off 12/hr 6 years later about 22/hr, same job title and role.

A family member had great SATs scores, a 4.0 GPA in college with a BA. Started off making 13/hr.... now 6 years later, she is up to about 25/hr. She gets no OT, DT, or perks.

I say no.  Get a good book or computer based review product.
