Title: Contamination maps/information
Post by: Freestyler on December 04, 2015, 03:47:31 PM
(Sorry for my English but don't use it much lately and don't have a corrector on this PC)

I am thinking about moving (again) in the next months. Though I have some finalists, I yet have to decide where to finally go. Though there are A LOT of variables in this decision (some more important than others), lately I have become increasingly aware of the importance of pollution. So, within the limits imposed by other variables, I want to make this a major decision point when choosing where I am moving my family next.

I was searching for sites/tools that provided information regarding this and the nearest thing that I found was http://aqicn.org/map/world. While it's good it only seems to provide more or less live data that depend on weather, time of the day, etc. I would like to have the most accurate possible assessment of usual and average (or median or whatever) contamination at different places (cities and neigborghoods withing the cities). A search of the apps available at the play store gave no better results. Can anyone direct me to a place with that kind of information or help me with this? Though it could be cool to have world info the decision right now concerns mainly Europe and, specifically, the cities of Luxembourg, Basel and Geneva and their bordering French territories.

Looks like I found some useful sites:

http://www.eea.europa.eu/themes/air/air-quality/map

http://www.airqualitynow.eu/

Just in case it's of interest to someone. Though I guess that's as good as it gets, do not hesitate to provide me with additional info.
