Concierge medicine

Is anyone familiar with a concierge medicine program offered by an employer?  My employer is considering this with what sounds like a HDHP behind it.  Concierge docs would cover primary care and pediatric services.  Just curious if anyone has had this and your experience if so.

Well I have been shopping around for a new PCM. One off the ones recommended to me is in a concierge practice with a 1800 annual fee that is out of pocket entirely (insurance doesn't cover the subscription fee). After that you can submit claims yourself to insurance for your office visits, but they will not bill insurance. So, great business model for the doctors but not so great for the patient. Not sure how the employer plan would work.

Still waiting on firm details.  It looks like it will be pretty good.  I'm hoping I can do an HSA since it is an HDHP.

I haven't been really sick yet, but I got a routine test in Dec and I was impressed with:
- super easy to book appointments
- incredibly efficient sign up procedure for a new patient
- zero wait time

my test was preventative and fully covered, so it was completely free too.
