Comprehensive FIRE schedule of activities?
« on: September 21, 2019, 12:47:43 PM »
Is anyone aware of a writer/blogger who has build a comprehensive, optimized schedule for becoming FIRE? Looking for a quarter-by-quarter breakdown of all the required activities a few years before and a few years after FIRE. For example:

Roth ladder timeframe
Scheduling and calculation of tax payments
Moves to make transitioning from employer to solo/subsidized insurance plans
Bond tent allocation moves

Not sure if I'm missing anything from the above...

Might not be exactly what you're looking for, but this is along those lines: https://www.theretirementmanifesto.com/the-ultimate-pre-retirement-checklist/

For glide paths (a better version on the bond tent IMO see https://earlyretirementnow.com/2017/09/13/the-ultimate-guide-to-safe-withdrawal-rates-part-19-equity-glidepaths/

Not sure you really need anything for Roth ladder timelines. Start converting as soon as you reach a year in which you don't have (significant) earned income such that you can convert in a low tax bracket and stay within your desired ACA subsidy limit. You can withdraw on January 1st 5 years later regardless of when in the year five years prior you converted. You need enough in Roth contributions and taxable to live off of in between.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
