Collections doing weird stuff on my credit report.

On the plus side to this story, I've gone from a 560 to a 720 in a year.

On the downside, I have no idea what's happening.

First instance. 18 months ago. I got into a wreck and got $900 in medical bills. It was declared the other guy's fault and his insurance refused to pay. It bounced back and forth between insurances while the hospital tried to charge me. I didn't have the money at the time and it went to collections. Six month ago, it just disappeared and hasn't come back. I got no closure from anyone.

Second instance. Collections from a telecom that was mostly legit ($450). I didn't have money at the time it was due, told them that I wanted to work with them but couldn't at the moment, and they sent it collections. I ignored their calls and letters for about 8 months because I was pretty sure they wouldn't sue me over $450 and I could negotiate it down later. Got a letter from them offering to settle for 70%, was thinking over the offer when I looked at my credit report today and it's gone completely.

Is this going to bite me later?

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
