Online Eye Lab to Change out lenses-Have one you use and trust?
« on: November 10, 2016, 04:18:24 AM »
I need new lenses and my lab has jacked up its prices.  I am looking to replace progressive, transition lenses on semi-rimless frames.  My lab wants close to $200.  Any of you lovely folks have someone you have used where I can shop for a quote?  Thanks if you are able to help.

I haven't changed out lenses but I have bought a lot of glasses from Zenni optical.  They have worked well for me and I love how affordable their prices are.

I've gotten all of my glasses from Zenni for the last 5 years and have had no issues.  The thing you need to think about is that you can't try on the frames, so you need to have a very good idea of the size frame you need (there have been a couple frames I wasn't super thrilled with for my face, but because I'm a single vision person, it was only $15 that I didn't get a lot of use out of.  I have a specific style I stick within certain measurements.  For progressive Transitions lenses, it is the price of the frame ($7 and up, with most in the $20 range) plus about $115.  They also have non-brand name color changing lenses that are cheaper.
