Title: Churning Mustachians: Will Amazon GC purchase count for Freedom?

Hello esteemed mustachians,

After making a valiant effort to max out the incredibly generous 10% cash back on the Chase Freedom card this quarter, I have run out of things to buy with still more juicy reward spending space available. If I buy a gift card on Amazon.com from me to me (bc I am so thoughtful), will that count as a purchase on Amazon on the rewards?

Yes, that will count.  Many people on the Flyertalk (churning) forums will max out the Chase Freedom bonus at Amazon in one quarter, and then use that credit throughout the entire year.
