I'm in the throes of my 8th year of trying to pick the right ACA plan. You know, the one in which you pick the perfect plan that has just the right amount of deductible, out of pocket limits and premiums so you actually get something for your money?
I have yet to do this right. One year I guessed that I'd be healthy and picked very high deductible plan with a low premium. Yeah, I got a kidney stone that year. The following year, I went the opposite way and yep, no stinkin' doctor visits at all. My primo plan was completely wasted.
Anyway I know I can't predict my health any more I can the weather or stock market. But I know there must some general rules of thumb, guidelines, tips to help me choose wisely. Suggestions?
