Chicago airbnb or hotel rec?

I'm looking for a place to stay next weekend, with my SO.  We will be spending our days in the Loop, but are fine staying outside of that area if public transport is convenient.  Would appreciate any specific recommendations for airbnb sites or hotels.  (No basement apartments or animals though, due to allergies).  I looked at airbnb online but I have no sense of which are decent neighborhoods. Thanks!
