Title: Checklist for selling your own house / no agent / cash deal
Post by: wellnessmobile on January 28, 2019, 09:50:12 AM
Fellow mustachians,

I am imagine someone out there in the system has a great checklist to follow to sell a house on your own (i.e w/o an agent). My rental property+lot is not worth much however, I have no mortgage. The plan would be to sell it in a cash deal. So I just wanted to reach out to anyone that has experience in this area. Further details: house is in Texas and most likely sell for 25-30k. Any help is appreciated.

I remember there was a thread on that a few weeks ago so you could try searching the forum for it. I remember cleaning it, stage it, list it on MLS and do showings. Then the paperwork. I think the thread said that you should at least get a lawyer.

Here's an old Washington Post article about it:

I did it in Texas back in 2015.  Here's a thread to look at.
