Cheap Audio Books

My husband and I have been getting into audio books lately. Only problem is that they're expensive on Amazon, Audible seems like a rip-off, and Overdrive from our library doesn't have a lot of the books we want.

What do you guys do for your audiobooks?

If you don't mind older books, some classics that are in the public domain checkout this site, I used to download books from there.

Unfortunately, it's harder to find cheap audiobooks than cheap ebooks.  Could you get a library card with another library system?  In my state it's possible to get a card with the largest public library in the state no matter where in the state you live.  This is aimed at ebooks, but much is appropriate to audiobooks.  https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/EBook_Lending_Libraries There are a few libraries that let you buy a card if you are a non-resident for a reasonable annual fee.

I just use my library system... they usually have what I'm looking for, though.  If they don't they typically have a copy of the audiobook (on CD) or book someplace in the county system.
