Cellphone / Wireless recommendations for Nova Scotia
« on: August 19, 2019, 10:06:44 AM »
We'll be moving to Nova Scotia from the US in the next year or so.  Any recommendations for wireless providers?  We both have oldish smart phones that are starting to experience issues, and we're thinking that it would be cheaper to get our new phones in the US before moving, but we want to make sure they're compatible.  We're leaning towards Moto G's.  My wife has one and really likes it.

In terms of usage, I use ~.5 G data per month, ~100 texts ~300 minutes.  DW uses about 1 G of data, ~600 texts, ~300 minutes.  We currently pay $76 USD (combined), and could theoretically keep the plan but we'd have to add $20 for US / CA voice calls (text and data already roams).  Oh, and we'd probably want voice calls to both US and Canada, but if that makes the plans crazy expensive we could probably work around it.

Thanks for your help.  And if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
