I work Construction Management, and I took this skills and behavior test at work:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Predictive_IndexIt typed me as a "Scholar", showed that I like to think through things thoroughly, and that I would protect the company from risk.
There was a section to help my manager that read something like this
"For maximum engagement and job satisfaction, consider providing Yachi with:
Time for personal reflection
Insulation from time sensitive pressures
Opportunity to learn something in-depth
Other things I can't remember"
It sounds like I'm cut out for FIRE, but unfortunately that's at least 10 years away. Construction Management doesn't lend itself to those suggestions for job satisfaction that I can see. Are there jobs that do? Although I value education, I didn't pursue any past my BS degree since I wanted to start paying on loans instead of racking them up. I'm almost 33, married with kids, so I don't think going back to get PHD and being a college professor is something I should be doing, but it would be great to have something that fits. Would computer programming be something that fits?
