My local library doesn't have the "Phil Edmonston’s Lemon-Aid Used Car guide" referenced in
http://www.mrmoneymustache.com/2012/03/19/top-10-cars-for-smart-people/ and in searching for details on a Honda Civic and Ford Focus of various release years I'm not sure the best way to sort through Consumer Reports magazines for the cars I care about.
Anyone have any advice on where I could find data on the issues with or longevity of these cars without having to buy a huge book or number of magazines for a single purchase? I'm find to pay if I need to, just rather pay less than $30 each for a books and magazines which I might use to look at two cars once and be done with.
