Capital one savor vs SavorOne Cc
« on: September 08, 2020, 04:28:21 PM »
I have a C1 Savor CC.  There’s an annual fee of $95, so want to downgrade to SavorOne (free).  Rewards rate reduces from 4% to 3%.  Not spending $800+ a month on dining.

Called C1 to downgrade but they don’t have that downgrade available.  Has anyone successfully “downgraded”?  Should I just cancel and reopen (hard credit report pull).  I also have a quicksilver (not used) but they candle upgrade that to SavorOne.  I use Amex 6% rewards for groceries, which currently leaves me better off despite the fee than their 3% reward card.  Citi double cashback for Everything else.

Thanks

P.S.  I pay all my Cc’s in full each month (except one with a major home improvement on it that is at 0% for a while) so no other hidden costs.

When we called to downgrade earlier in the year they said the downgrade wasn't available but offered to waive the fee. This was pre-Covid, not sure whether to expect the same treatment in the future.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
