I just finished my free trial of Freshbooks, and they are Toronto based and it made filing my Q2 HST return relatively painless. I thought $162/year for the software was pretty cheap compared to hiring a bookkeeper.
But when I went to upgrade, they billed me in USD. I HATE taking a USD invoice and trying to figure out how to do my amateur bookkeeping. I can cancel for a full refund within 30days.
Any ideas for other software to try? I just want to capture basic categories of expenses, incoming, and HST. I was using Excel but things were starting to get confusing. Nothing too expensive or fancy needed
